Ditch Your New Years Resolution

January 17, 2013 is ditch your new years resolution day nationally.

Starting off the new year can be a challenge for anyone, especially if you haven't found the happy medium for the new year. Besides New Years Day and any birthdays you celebrate in the month of January there are not many other holidays. But today is the day where nationally people ditch there New Years resolution. Many New Years resolution only last a few weeks if your luck you can make it last a couple months. Well this year I switched it up to see if I could find a medium ground so my New Year resolution lasted all year, I didn't make a resolution TILL TODAY!

My New Years un-ditch resolution is to each month do at least three positive actions that start with the letter of the current month. You can add any other action words you may think of but try to keep it the "J" for January and "N" for November theme. Every month I am going to do a physical action, Social and personal actions, in hopes it will bring me closer to finding something new that will be a happy medium in life.

JANUARY the month of J!

Physcial: Jump!

Jumping is a great form of exercise and helps with stability if you have a trampoline (small) inside, or a big out doors one jump on it a couple days a week to get your heart rate up and have a good laugh. Invite a friend!
Or if your like me, don't have the luxury of a trampoline there are indoor trampoline or jump parks. In my community we have an indoor Jump/Trampoline facility called "Absolute Air Park" they have all different kinds of jumps, times, rates, and ages to go have a blast and jump around for a bit. Other Trampoline parks are called Elevated Sports,  and also Sky Zone Sports. All of these links will open new window.

Note: Please be safe with all Physical activity and consult your Physician prior to doing any new physical activities that may be harmful to your health.

Social: Join

There are so many things you can join in January you can usually find fitness centers having deals like no joining fee great time to take advantage of it. Your local community may also have a local Zumba class, or self defense classes.

Other things you may want to join, if you are anything like me and don't want to pay for a workout or already have a gym membership, you can; be a local volunteer, join a book club, if you have the joy of being a parent you can join the Parent Teacher Assistant (PTA) at your child's school. If you don't have a child and want to volunteer at the local parks department. You could also always make your own club or group, ex: Gaming (WII, XBOX 360) club and invite all your friends, coworkers or classmates to join!

Third but not least is personal; journaling.

Journaling is a great way to create and save ideas for blogs :) Its also helpful to get your thoughts and feelings down on paper. You can't journal wrong, ways to journal are in a notebook or diary. If you prefer electronically there are many free websites and apps to help keep notes and file. I personally use Google documents to organize everything. You can also use Sky Drive which its Microsoft.  Journaling does not need to be done every day, attempt to journal at least weekly. I found it is a great outlet and also a great way to organize my blogging notes.

I hope these three actions I submitted or one of your own and  stride to find the happy medium for physical, social, and personal.

Happy Thursday!!
